Jeff Wack is a California based artist who specializes in digital photography and digital airbrush painting where he blends the two modern mediums to create superb works of dream like nudes. By utilizing all that digital technology has to offer, Jeff is able to express his artistic vision by creating nude works that defy placement to any given time frame or setting. This is by design. By eliminating references to pop culture or iconic references of geography or architecture, Jeff has created nude digital paintings for his Sensuous Muse series that are timeless.
Jeff began expressing his creative side with film based photography over 15 years ago. In addition, he has utilized acrylic paints to create paintings on illustration board as well as acrylic over-painting on photographs. With the movement to digital photography, digital imaging became a natural progression. Jeff draws on this experience in implementing digital techniques. Jeff points out that painting, whether via a traditional brush or a digital drawing tablet, “uses the same hand movements”.

For his nudes, he begins with 5-6 digital photographs of a model in various poses. He may utilize parts from these different photographs to achieve the desired pose and/or effect. Jeff then digitally paints to seamlessly mold both realistic and fantasy components, often placing his lovely subject in fantastic landscapes. The careful execution of his technique often leaves observers wondering what elements are “real” and which are not. This is a wonderful gift in Jeff’s paintings and it requires careful examination of his work to fully appreciate.
Jeff admits that his nude paintings are idealized. They feature toned, and very attractive, models. The settings are dreamlike featuring color enhanced/ digitally altered landscapes. The overall mood of his paintings is serine and peaceful. Perhaps this stems from his fondness for classic nudes where nudes are often idealized in both physical proportions and setting.
Jeff Wack works in L.A. as a professional illustrator and has done work for major corporations such as Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch, 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios and many other Fortune 500 companies. Work from Jeff’s Sensuous Muse Collection is available as large 11 ink archival giclée prints and canvases. I am very glad Jeff is getting some recognition for his terrific artwork. I think it is some of the most beautiful and original work I’ve seen. I find it very reminiscent of classic works depicting the beauty of the female form with a delightful whimsy thrown in for fun.

Jeff is not only a very talented commercial artist, but has a great ability to merge the real with the imaginary to create a different and intesting type of erotic art. Its sexy without being trashy, its surreal with being cartoony, and its interesting to look at time and time again. keep up the great work Jeff

I’ve been a fan of Jeff’s work for some time now and he always surprises me with something new, like this latest beauty with the exaggerated Art Nouveau-style whiplash hair as she executes a difficult yoga pose - again, stunning and original. And never prurient, but always ’sensuous’.

It is unquestionable that Jeff is a modern master of his craft.
This is apparent by his superb ability to capture the beauty of the female form, with a style of his own, that is both contemporary and timeless.

Jeff truly does create beautiful art. His attention to the overall flow and expression, combined with an eye for fine detail, allows each piece to move through time and space with exquisite beauty. Unique concepts presented with a sense of artistic quality and soul . . . ‘Sensuous Muse’ is a visual version of a great record- ‘timeless’.

I’ve know Jeff both as a friend and a fellow professional for over 20 years and his “Sensuous Muse” collection is the finest work I’ve seen from him or any other artist in many years. Not only is it a highly personal statement of Jeff’s vision, it’s also incredibly compelling imagery. I agree with everything that Michael Huey has already said and predict that these works of art will take their place with the greatest artists of this era and those going back to the Italian Renaissance. Bravo!, Jeff.

Your work gets better and better. A very poetic approach to the subject of nudes which is most refreshing.

From the beginning of his Sensuous Muse project, Jeff’s vision has fueled his inspiration to show a passion that is equaled by his talent. The art itself encapsulates his vision, passion, and talent. See for yourself!
